Designed around the workflow that actually happens under sail — one volunteer with a phone, a stack of finish cards, and a deck that won’t stop pitching. Every race format, every recording method, every fleet style. No spreadsheets to wrangle, no laptops to keep dry.

Why race committees pick RaceCommittee.app
Photo, type, or upload
Photograph paper finish cards on the boat and let AI vision read every sail in seconds. Or type results live with a tap-to-finish roster grid. Or fill in our Excel template at the bar afterwards and upload. Whatever works on the day.
One phone, one volunteer
The whole tool fits on a phone. No laptop, no spreadsheets, no internet required mid-race — drafts live on the device and only sync when canonical. Designed for the single recorder who’s also calling the start sequence.
Every fleet, every format
One-design, PHRF Time-on-Time, PHRF Time-on-Distance, pursuit. Single-day regattas, multi-day championships, weekly series with sub-series, throwouts, custom DNF/TLE formulas. Per-class PHRF coefficients when the club uses its own.
Multi-recorder, reconciled to shore
Run two or three independent recorders on the same race. The app diffs their cards, flags disagreements, and only sends canonical results to the shore dashboard. Per-race copy buttons drop standings into whatever scoring tool the club already uses.

Everything above, two regattas a year. Plenty for the club running a spring and fall event, or a weekend championship plus a winter series. No credit card.
No member registration, online sign-ups, sailing instructions, notices of race, PHRF certificate tracking, entry payment, or club websites — keep using whatever your club already loves for those. RaceCommittee.app picks up at the finish line and hands off cleanly via copy-paste or CSV export.
FAQ
How accurate is the photo OCR on paper finish cards?
About 80–90% on handwritten sail numbers with a clean photo. Two AI passes vote on every card; where they disagree the row is flagged low-confidence so the recorder reviews it before transmitting. Typeset documents (rosters, scratch sheets) are essentially perfect.
Can I use it without internet on the boat?
Yes for capture — drafts live in your device’s local storage. Photographs of paper cards do need a connection to run OCR (they hit Anthropic’s vision API), but typed entries and Excel-template uploads work offline and sync when you’re back in range. Only canonical results ever leave the device.
How does multi-recorder reconciliation work?
Each recorder photographs or types their own card. The app compares submissions row-by-row: where everyone agrees, the result transmits to shore as settled. Where they disagree, you see a reconcile view that highlights the conflicting slots so you can pick a majority or override. The full audit trail of every recorder’s reading is kept on the race row.
Will scorers and crew need to pay too?
No. Per-event scorer invites are free for the invitee. Only the regatta owner pays, and only if they need more than two regattas a year. The owner shares an invite link; the scorer signs in and they’re in.
Does the year reset on January 1?
Yes — the cap is by calendar year, keyed to the regatta’s race date. So a January 2027 series you create in December 2026 counts toward 2027.
Do you replace registration / club management platforms?
No. RaceCommittee.app does one thing: turns finish cards into shared race results. Registration platforms handle sign-ups, notices of race, club websites, billing — use both, they hand off cleanly via copy-paste or CSV export.
